On October 9, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced extensions of nationwide waivers permitting Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO) operations through June 30, 2021. Waivers extended through June 30 include those that allow SFSP and SSO meals to be served in all areas and at no cost; permit meals to be served outside the typically required group settings and meal times; waive meal pattern requirements, as necessary; and allow parents and guardians to pick-up meals for their children. All waivers are available on the USDA webpage.
Families still have the option to send students with packed meals, but the district encourages everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.
The district will have meal pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays in front of North Ridgeville High School between 8:30 am -10:30 am. Your student does not need to be present to pick up the meals.
Students that are enrolled in the hybrid learning option have the opportunity to take home meals at the end of the school day beginning Tuesday, September 15. Meals will be provided to take home on Tuesdays for Group A students, Wednesdays for high school students, and Fridays for Group B students.
If you qualify or think you may qualify for free or reduced lunch, please still apply to the program. Information about free and reduced lunch can be found on the food service page on the district website. If families need assistance accessing or completing this application, please reach out to the Operations Department at 440-353-1109.
