North Ridgeville City Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Meghan Hignite as the new Principal of North Ridgeville High School, effective with the 2025-2026 school year.

Hignite, who has been serving as Assistant Principal for the past two years, will step into her new leadership role with a deep commitment to fostering student success and strengthening school-community connections.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to take on this role,” said Hignite. “Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families. As principal, I look forward to continuing our Ranger STRONG initiative and ensuring every learner has the support and resources they need to thrive. Together, we will build on our strong foundation and create an environment where all students feel empowered to design their preferred futures.”

Before joining North Ridgeville City Schools, Hignite dedicated ten years to Fairview Park High School as a Social Studies teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mercyhurst University, a Master of Education from John Carroll University, and a Principal Licensure from Cleveland State University.

Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio expressed confidence in Hignite’s leadership and vision for the school. “Meghan has already established herself as a respected and valued leader within our district. Her dedication to students, staff, and the overall school community makes her the perfect fit for this role. While we will certainly miss Principal Joe Mueller’s leadership, we are confident that Meghan will continue to build upon his legacy and lead the school in a positive and inspiring direction.”
