Tips for Student Success During Testing

State testing can feel stressful, but with a little preparation, students can feel confident and ready to do their best. Here are some helpful tips:

1. Get Plenty of Rest
A good night’s sleep helps improve focus, memory, and overall performance.

2. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Fueling up in the morning gives students the energy they need to stay alert during testing.

3. Arrive On Time
Being punctual ensures students don’t feel rushed and can begin testing calmly.

4. Stay Positive and Confident
Encourage students to do their best and remind them that effort matters more than perfection.

5. Take Your Time
Students should read each question carefully and check their work if time allows.

6. Practice Relaxation Techniques
Deep breaths and staying calm can help reduce test anxiety.

Supporting Your Student

Families play an important role during testing season. Encouragement at home, maintaining routines, and emphasizing effort can make a big difference in a student’s experience.

If you have any questions about the schedule or testing process, please don’t hesitate to contact your child's school.
