Ohio Works: Innovation & Industry

This month, we will be focusing on businesses located in North Ridgeville that highlight innovation and industry. We have collaborated with our NRHS Broadcast Journalism class to bring you profiles on four businesses: RGI Creative, R.W. Beckett, Riddell, and Worcester's. We will share one video each week so stay tuned!

Ohio Entertains

This month, we have several planned band and choir concerts to keep you entertained. Find those dates and times below. We are also organizing a movie night at Auto-Rama! Join us on Thursday, April 2 for a surprise movie, camaraderie, and snacks! Learn more and buy tickets here!

March 10: Grades 7-8 Choir Concert, 6:30 p.m. at NRAC
March 19: Grades 6-8 Band Concert, 6:30 p.m. at NRAC
March 25: Night of Jazz Concert, 7:00 p.m. at NRAC 

Also happening, the North Ridgeville Rotary Club's Annual Easter Egg Hunt! This will take place on Saturday, March 28 at Ranger Stadium. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. with the hunt beginning right at 1:00 p.m. This event is for children between ages 1-9. If your child finds a special America 250 OH sticker in their egg, they'll be a grand prize winner!

Ohio Moves

This month, we are featuring a display of the North Ridgeville Shaw Station and Trolley thanks to the Historical Society. This was part of the Railroad from Cleveland to Toledo and this station was built in 1868 at the Center Road Crossing. Ohio Creates

In North Ridgeville, we are so proud of our creative community members! Within the school district, we have a course called Arts in Action that focuses on how the arts can improve city pride. Through murals, these students are bringing Ranger pride to life. The Pulp mural was completed last year and students have been working diligently on two additional murals. One at Between the Bun and one at KLT Insurance. Be sure to check them out!

Our art students will also have pieces on display all month long at the Educational Services Center of Lorain County. You can stop in to see the show at  1885 Lake Ave in Elyria.

The Parks and Recreation Department is also hosting a Chalk The Walk event! Celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer by helping us create a vibrant walking path in South Central Park for the Memorial Day Parade. This will take place on Friday, May 22. Chalk will be provided!

Ohio Outdoors

This is the best time of the year to be outside and celebrate all North Ridgeville has to offer. There are so many programs and camps happening through the Parks and Recreation Department. You can learn more about them here. 

We are also taking part in the Heart & Sole Scavenger Hunt with America 250 themed missions. Stay tuned to learn more about this exciting event.

Ohio Picnics

This month, we have Concerts in the Park and Food trucks happening! Stayed tuned for more information.

On July 4, the city will host its annual Freedom Festival at Victory Park complete with fireworks to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America!

Ohio Goes to the Fair

August always brings a busy time of year as we prepare to back to school and enjoy the last couple weeks of summer. August 7-9, Corn Fest will take place featuring the Kiwanis Corn Hole Tournament. The Lions Club will have their annual Run the Ridge Event.

On August 14, we will have our Back to School Community Night at Ranger Stadium! Be sure to stop in and grab some goodies, back to school signs, enjoy some fun, and get a construction update.

Ohio Plays

As everyone gets into the swing of things with a new schedule and back to school, this month we're focusing on all our athletic programming. There are several ways to be involved through the Parks and Recreation Department or through the school district. We will be hosting different celebration nights at our Friday Night Football Games.

Ohio GrowsThis month, we're focusing on our food and farms! The North Ridgeville Historical Society will have a map of all the farms in our area!

North Ridgeville Heart & Sole will have their Fall Produce Pick Up. Stay tuned for more details on this!

North Ridgeville City Schools partners with the Lions Club to hold a food drive to support Community Care. This will happen the week of September 28 - October 2! More information will be coming soon.

Ohio ServesThis month we're focusing on serving those who have served us. Each year, the NRHS Student Council hosts a Veterans Day Assembly and Luncheon for local veterans and their families. This will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at North Ridgeville High School. Register here.

Wreaths Across America also serves our veterans. You can learn more about their initiative, volunteer, or order a wreath here.

Future OhioWe are looking ahead to 2027 and beyond! The new North Ridgeville high school is well underway and we are excited to share more information about construction, timeline, and upcoming events. Stay tuned!

Our littlest Rangers are taking part in a spirit day and dressing as what they want to be when they grow up! What a way to think about their futures.
