Safer Ohio School Tip Line

North Ridgeville City Schools will utilize the Ohio School Safety Center, “Safer Ohio School Tip Line,” starting in August 2025.  Using a tip line enables schools to enhance safety programs through violence prevention, Proactive intervention for safety concerns, Situational awareness, Trust building, and connecting students and parents to support. Utilizing a tip line in schools is required under HB123, Safety and Violence Education Students ACT.

Information submitted to the tip line can be done anonymously.  The tip line accepts calls, texts, webform, and app submissions 24 hours a day.  There is no cost for use of the tip line for North Ridgeville City Schools.

Calls or texts to 844-SaferOH (844-723-3764) are answered by tipline technicians.  If action is required, the technician immediately forwards information to local school officials, law enforcement agencies, and the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) for further action and follow-up as needed.

Anyone can utilize the tip line, and if you see or hear something suspicious, please report it.
