Substitute Teachers Needed

The North Ridgeville City Schools is currently looking for flexible, compassionate individuals who are committed to student learning and success to work on an as needed basis as substitute teachers. Substitute teachers play a vital role in the educational process. They are responsible for creating and maintaining a classroom environment that is effective, safe, and conducive to learning and have the unique ability to teach with a rapidly changing classroom population of various skills and progress levels. Adaptability is the key.
 
The North Coast Shared Services Alliance serves as our substitute management provider, responsible for the recruitment, training and employment of substitute teachers. Requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor’s degree with official transcripts or a valid teaching and/or substitute license from the Ohio Department of Education.
  • Valid BCI & FBI fingerprinting background check results less than 12 months old and on file with the Ohio Department of Education.

Substitute Support Staff Needed

The North Ridgeville City Schools are in need of substitute support staff.  Read below substitute support staff opportunities.
 
Cleaners: 8 hours per-day, shifts are afternoon into evenings (3:30– 11:30p.m.) 
Custodians – 8 hours per-day. Head custodians work during the school day and night custodians work afternoons into evenings. 
Cafeteria Workers – Shifts vary from 2 hours up to 5 hours during school lunch periods, typically between 10:00 a.m.- 2:00p.m. 
Instructional Aides – Shifts vary from 4 hours up to 7.5 hours during the school day. These positions vary from working with intensive needs students to working as classroom support. The position may involve recess and/or lunch duty.
Media Aides – Shifts vary from 4 hours up to 7.5 hours during the school day. 
Monitor Aides – Shifts vary from 4 hours up to 6.75 hours during the school day. Duties may include study hall, lunch and/or recess duty.

These substitutes are employed by Rachel Wixey & Associates and utilize Frontline Absence Management (formerly AESOP).
