Facilities Planning Committee Update
In preparing for the future, the North Ridgeville City Schools convened a Facilities Planning Committee, comprised of parents, community members, administrators, staff, and civic leaders to review our buildings, district finances, facility assessments, and enrollment projection. We are the third-fastest growing school district in the state, having grown by nearly 500 students over the last decade.

This huge growth presents unique challenges to education. Some schools are over capacity (Liberty Elementary, High School) or near-capacity (Early Childhood Learning Community, Ranger High Tech Academy), and some students are learning in spaces never intended to be classrooms - including hallways and mobile trailers.

The Facilities Planning Committee has been meeting since February 2018 and will soon make recommendations to the school board about addressing our growing enrollment, capacity issues in our buildings, and how to prepare our students for the next level. The recommendations were presented at the June 4, 2019 Special Board of Education meeting. CLICK HERE to watch the Board of Education meeting at the Facilties Planning Committee proposal.
