Ranger High Tech Academy was awarded $18,650 from Emerson Electric Co., a manufacturing company that produces engineering services for industrial, commercial, and consumer markets.

RHTA will use the grant to purchase and create a mobile laser cutter cart, which is similar to what is used at LCCC. Senior Nick Gardner proposed the idea as a means to increase the number of learners/classes that can work with fabrication equipment. Additionally, the laser cutter is able to have a presence at more events. 

The product purchased will be the Epilog Laser Fusion Edge 12, which can be seen below.
